Home

Welcome to Siam House, or Tŷ Siam as it is known in Welsh. One of our family’s loves is Asia and Thailand in particular, where we have lived for many years. However, our true home is Wales where most of our family is from.  “Siam” is the former name for Thailand and we chose this as the name for the house to reflect our love of the country.

The house is nestled in a small group of 12 houses, converted into dwellings in 2007, having, until that time, formed part of a working farm. The property is situated between the small village of Dwyran and neighbouring Newborough, with its outstanding beaches, forests and nature reserve. You can see the Snowdonia mountain range and the Menai Straits from the garden.

Anglesey has many wonderful places to visit, with the great beaches on the West coast playing host to numerous sporting events and attractions such as surfing, windsurfing, triathalons and sailing.  If you would like to try any water based sports head to either Rhosneiger or Menai Watersports Centre.  There are many beautiful walks on Anglesey and the circular walk around the island starts only 500 meters from the house, down at the Stepping Stones.
